Take a Bow

My moly found it's way home. What a marvelous treasure. Clare, you needn't worry about your watercolor efforts. It was such a beautiful display. I will be sure to photo/video the whole spread to share with everyone when I get a free moment this week.

Thank you all so very much for lending your time and talents to my book. I know some of you still have a round or two to get your books back, but please do give some consideration to whether or not you'd be interested in another go around with this group. I can't believe what an amazing success we've had so far. You all rock, first and second group, alike!

xoxo
Melissa

There were some colorful characters in my mailbox today. I hope to get to your book sometime next week, Kerry. Harry, you should receive Clare's book any day now.

Drrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrum Rolllllllllllllllllll Please..................

It's Arrived At Last! The Missing Moly has ARRIVED!
I am OH, SO PLEASED, Over the Moon In Fact, ECSTATIC you might say, and so very, very RelieveD! Kerrie, Melissa & all... you can now breathe a sigh of relief too. ;o)
Oh and did I mention that I picked it up at my P.O. ten minutes ago after spending all this morning working on the replacement Moly. I have my suspicions about what had happened to it. The post lady here was mixing everyone's mail up and had been for a long time now, turns out she couldn't read. Cut a long story short, after my extensive neighbourhood door knock at
the weekend I believe someone has returned the parcel to the PO, It had been opened and it was not by customs. They let you know if they open it. Someone got the guilts, I think...............Doesn't matter..............It's here, in one piece and it's Beautiful!
And just as well it is here as you can see from my photos I would have given Melissa
hardly any room to re-do her Glorious 'Seussical' piece.

PS: Mail lady got the sack & our new Postie starts tomorrow. I will be signing for my parcels just to be on the safe side.

New arrival

Overwhelmed

Well, I am pretty sure that two (or more) members of this swap were sharing a brainwave this past month. Alison, your moly is here and it is a sight to behold. It is such a powerfully delicate combination and I will try not to barge in like the bull in a china shop (down! down! inktense pencils.) I cannot wait to begin. I will scan the latest entry as soon as a certain toddler naps.

Guess what....

arrived in the post today......

Alison, your drawing is fabulous. Very gentle but colourful. It reminds me of a children's book illustration. I appreciate the sentiment too and will enjoy being inspired and influenced by your work to create the next page.

Safe Landing

moly exchange

Jan's Moly has arrived at Alison's

Yes, it's here, delicate and beautiful, and the smell of the paint is sending me into creative thinking mode. Rather than post the completed pages again, I've taken a photo of my drawing desk which is in the living room. Now that we are empty nesters, there's room for us each to have a table in the living room which is the warmest in winter and coolest in summer so it gets a lot of use.
You can see Jan's moly sitting on my light box(oh, so useful) where I can muse upon it for a while. In front of the light box is a collection of things that belonged to my grandfather - I am drawing them in another accordion-fold strip and my father will annotate them as he pleases.
On the right, I have set up one of my vessel arrangements, in the corner box, for Jana who wants to see see how I do them - the shadows are real but the view I draw is carefully selected and very cropped. In this case, the left hand pot needs to be lower so is standing on a book outside the corner box - I only drew its shadow.
Beyond the table, is the sofa which is 'my spot' with my thread box currently on the tea-chest 'side table' -(my next art dead-line is the Geelong wool quilt exhibition - and beyond that, my art stuff cupboard and home of all my vessels. Of course, most of my 'stuff' is outside in my 'studio' a converted carport - too messy to work in at the moment and anyway we save on heating if we just use the one room. My partner's table is to the left and is always completely cleared each night!

*Bing!* Round II Begins.

Clare your Moly has landed!  It is absolutely gorgeous!  I blogged about it and my thoughts here.
