Canberra doesn't really have a 'big' anything - except the egos up at Parliament House. So I decided to enjoy some plein air sketching directly into someone else's book - very scary - at the Botanic Gardens. It's Spring and there is so much to see - not to scale. Two lizards busy sunning themselves got included. Lots of people stopped to have a look - it's sad how many people think that talent from birth is required. It's such a delight what one can do with just a little box of watercolour paints, a water-brush and a few watercolour pencils. This goes off to Jan, now.

PS To Alison and All other Moley Guys--I changed computers about the time you started this exchange and just found it today. Wonderful fun.
I just did a Look See through the whole thing back to April-- Exciting trip! Got you on my RSS Google Reader so I won't miss anything now.
Go Moleys!

So lovely. And you are so brave. I wish I had the guts to go au naturale in someone else's book. Also jealous that you are entering spring and we are whipping out the mittens and scarves.
Wow! so much to feast the eyes on. I love this idea the moley exchange.
Fabulous and so brave to do this au plein air! and how lovely to be enjoying spring/summer in such luscious colour. As I type there's frozen snow on the ground and the light is grey here....not good for an artist with fading middle aged eyesight!!! Can't wait to see this book in person.
